Sigh

The window in front of my shop is not thick at all. I can hear people outside *perfectly*. A couple just walked by and what I could catch in passing was "It's not affordable at ALL." "Really?"

I guess they could be talking about something else but most likely it was a comment about my store. This stings a bit, but I am growing a thick retailer skin and getting over it. Affordable is a very relative term, especially in New York. Certainly I have some expensive items in the shop but I do not inflate prices like, say, my local grocers do. A non perishable food product may be two dollars at one shop and four dollars at another 10 blocks away. Two dollars is not much but over time it adds up like everything else.

Anyway - just blowing off a tiny bit of steam.
