naming the baby
i am having some difficulty coming up with a name for the shop. i want it to be warm but modern and inviting but not cutesy.
contenders: gem, nook, nonesuch, gild, jackdaw (a nod to Magpie in Cambridge). my brain has frozen. ideas?

nook is nice, nonesuch is nicer. nookshop.com is available. jackdaw is too clattery, i think, gem too cute, gild too fancy. how about "reebob"?
